As you know, I’m from Kentucky. I joke about it a lot but I probably wouldn’t be happy anywhere else.
It’s Derby Day! Two minutes of horse racing equals partying for two weeks and the kids in Louisville miss a day of school the day before. It is called a “Professional Development Day” but everyone knows that it’s Oaks Day and teachers want to party just like the rest of us.
I’ve been to the Kentucky Oaks a couple of times and it was so much fun! My friends and I drank, ate and soaked up the sunshine.
It’s a lot of fun to watch, even if you don’t care at all about the sport. Plus, the parties are fun.
Party on, Kentucky!
